On a recent trip down the North Fork of the American river above Euchre Bar I noticed many old pieces of mining machinery - almost all of it manufactured by Risdon Iron Works in San Francisco. I'd like to learn more about mining in the canyon, and what the various equipment was used for. If someone could direct me to a good resource, it would be much appreciated.
