Oregon Digger, Did the other response to your problem help save the fine gold? If not, there are a lot of other things that could be the problem. Did you recover black sand and fines in the sluice? If not, and assuming the sluice internals are in correctly, the gold and fines are probably being blown over the riffles and out the back. Normally this is caused by to much slope on the box or the volume of water is to much for the box. Would like to hear how cures work?
