My Father-in-law had an great uncle named Joe Ward that prospected in the Mohjave from the late 1870's until his death in Los Angeles in about 1943. He was often called, at least by some, "The Desert Poet" I wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction to search for people in the mining/prospecting. Maybe some sites with history of the area, etc.
